| KBS Steel Shafts Cash in at U.S. Bank Open BOULDER, Colo. — Premium KBS Tour steel shafts continue to play in the black, recording their eighth victory on the year at the U.S. Bank Open in Milwaukee. The all-new line of KBS steel shafts features innovative Moment of Inertia Technology and have been cashing in on success ever since debuting on the pro tour earlier this year. Just within the past four weeks, KBS steel shafts have won the Buick Open, John Deere Classic and U.S. Bank Open on the PGA Tour. This week’s U.S. Bank Open champion reportedly played the best four rounds of his career, using Cleveland irons fit with KBS Tour steel shafts. He finished 16-under par on the 6,759- yard Brown Deer Park Golf Course to win a $720,000 first prize. “We’re very excited with another victory on the PGA Tour, and we would never have anticipated this level of success so soon after unveiling the KBS line of shafts this year,” says renowned steel shaft designer Kim Braly, director of product development for KBS shafts. “Shaft performance is critical in optimizing the clubhead at impact, and KBS steel shafts achieve a higher degree of performance and feel through MOI analysis that more effectively respond in the players’ hands prior to impact.” KBS Tour steel shafts, manufactured by FEMCO Steel Technology (FST), provide superior stability and smoothly transfer energy to the ball at impact. KBS shafts feature a one-of-a- kind design and are engineered for better players. By reducing the mass and radius of each step in equal proportions along the shaft’s center line, the KBS Tour shaft delivers optimum stability resulting in efficient energy transfer from the player’s hands to the clubhead. In addition, the shaft design reduces shaft ‘interference’ during the swing which means greater performance with every shot. Unlike other steel shafts on the market, the KBS Tour steel shafts incorporate FST’s high- quality precision manufacturing processes, such as: Exclusive ‘Oil-Quench’ tempering method which produces shafts that are arrow-straight from butt to tip; Tapered tip construction to provide a solid metal-to-metal bond in the hosel and tour-proven feel; higher- than-traditional center of gravity construction to allow for more mass in the clubhead; and matching shaft weight and frequency to strict tolerances to ensure peak playing performance and guaranteed repeatability. FST’s innovative steel shafts are growing in popularity with golfers and clubmakers around the world. | Zero Friction Wins at the PGA Championship Itasca, IL (August 12, 2008) The winner of the PGA Championship this past weekend at the Oakland Hills CC in Bloomfield Township, Michigan used the Zero Friction Performance Golf Tee. This is the second win this season for the winner of the PGA Championship; he also won the British Open the week of July 17-20th. This was his sixth top ten finish for the year, and after this win, he moves into 4th place in the Fed Ex Cup standings with 15,555 points. The Zero Friction Golf Tee has a unique three-pronged design, significantly reduces the contact area between the golf ball and the tee. At impact, this small degree of contact reduction or resistance results in increased accuracy and distance; for the winner of the PGA Championship, his overall driving distance for the PGA Tour is at 297.3 yards, putting him in the top 14%. The Zero Friction Golf Tee can be found at every PGA Tour event and can account for more than 30 PGA Tour wins and over 210 top-ten finishes.
